Teenage Muster a Huge Success

The Downs Rugby Teenage Muster and trial day was successfully held at two locations on Sunday 12th February - one at Highfields and one at Gold Park. In total there were over 400 participants on the weekend which bodes well for a successful teenage competition on the Downs for 2012.
Teenage Rugby is now more accessible with games to be played each Sunday opening up the opportunity to play multiple sports on the weekends. The Teenage competition will run through Terms 1 and 2 and will culminate in the selection of the Darling Downs Representative Squads in Under 13’s through to Under 17’s age groups to contest the prestigious Queensland Junior State Championships to be held in late September 2012.
We are currently in the process of finalising the teenage draw and will circulate this to all clubs ASAP. Any boys looking to get involved in teams from Under 13’s to Under 17’s should contact their local club and register it’s not too late to sign up.
