Downs Rugby Senior Representative Season Kick off

The Downs Rugby Senior Representative 2012 Season Campaign kicks off this Saturday, 10 December at 2.00pm at USQ's oval, Baker Street, Toowoomba.

Head Coach, Andrew Skipper and Assistant Coach, Rob Johnston, are both looking forward to meeting the initial training squad members to outline the season programme and to run the players through some drills. The Queensland Country Rugby Union representatve program will involve several trial games against the likes of Brisbane Norths before tackling the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast teams. From these three teams a South Queensland team will be selected and ultimately a Queensland Country team. Darling Downs players have every opportunity to make these teams if their form warrants it as was witnessed this year with Darling Downs players featuring prominently in the South Queensland teams and Country Barbarians teams.
