Downs Rugby AGM

The Downs Rugby Limited Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Saturday 11th February 2012. Most of our clubs were represented well, with the absence of Roma, St George and Condamine representatives understandably due to the floods.
We had two directors resign which created four vacancies on the Board of Directors. Downs Rugby would like to thank Brendan Ryan & Matthew Strahorn for their contribution over the years and wish them both the best of luck in their new positions. Brendan has taken a position as CEO to the Australian Junior Rugby Union and Matthew is the 2012 Highfields Redbacks President.
All candidates were worthy of a position on the Board of Directors, with all men bringing a range of skills, expertise and enthusiasm to bear in order to maintain the momentum and provide the impartial strategic direction to our organisation. We have much pleasure in welcoming Mark Brownlie, Craig Coetzee, Rod Hohn & Dick Webster to the Board of Downs Rugby. These new Directors will join with Pat Brown, Mike Horan and Justin Garvie who are continuing with their roles on the Board of Directors for 2012.
We look forward to working with our new Board colleagues in 2012.
